    • This is so insane.locked vehicle.box in his locked trunk.who had the legal right to go in his trunk.not much info about the incident but from a law enforcement career spanning 35 yrs. I would need a search warrant to enter his trunk. I would own the school and the school would be renamed after me.

    • I thought California was bad when The Humane Society of the United States expects my father to donate his cattle to the mountain lions and my local Senator Jerry Hill will not try to pass a law to make the state reimburse cattle ranchers for California’s bad mountain lion management program. But a felony for being an all american kid and having a tackle box is even worse yet.

    • I agree. This is totally out of proportion. I am only 20 years old and have fished on my family’s farm for as long as I can remember. For my family, it’s a way to get together, talk, fish and have a good time. I’ve done it my entire life and I would love to see something done about this.

    • Common sense needs to prevail. I am a teacher. I live in a rural area. On a couple of occasions I have had a student come into my room in a panic. Seems there have been occasions when they have gotten up late and had to feed the cows before they went to school. They get the cows fed and end up running for the bus. They forgot about the knife in their pocket until they got to school. They know to come to my room and hand me the knife. I put it in a locked drawer until school is out. They then come in and pick up the knife and leave school. Problem solved.
