END OF AN ERA- PONY RIDES IN GRIFFITH PARK CLOSING

END OF AN ERA- PONY RIDES IN GRIFFITH PARK CLOSING

After 74 years, the Griffith Park Pony Rides will be no more on December 21, 2022.

Why? Because of false allegations, harassment, threats of lawsuits, and the continued onslaught of threats of violence, disruption of business and angry false rhetoric by animal extremist groups.

The owner went above and beyond in complying with veterinary recommendations and animal husbandry practices which ensured that the ponies’ every need was met.

That just caused the animal extremists to get even more vocal, even making threats towards the owner, his employees, and patrons.

Where will the ponies go?

What happens to the employees who have lost their jobs?

Where will urban children have an opportunity to learn about horses and ponies?

We must stop animal extremism from destroying our way of life and we cannot do it alone.

We must band together and take the time to step up and speak up.

Did you know about the threats to Griffith Park Pony Rides? If you did not, then it is time to support Protect The Harvest and like-minded organizations that are working to get the word out. A monthly donation of just $5 can help to get our message out to more people.

If you did know, did you take action? Did you support to Griffith Park Pony Rides by sending letters? Did you contact the Recreation and Parks Commission to voice your support of the ponies?

Animal extremists will not stop at the pony rides. They want to end the use of all horses in any activity or sport.

Every win, and make no mistake this is a win for animal extremism, emboldens these groups to ramp up their activities.
