ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUP COVERTLY FILMS LEGAL PIGEON HUNT
U.S. Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma held a pigeon shoot last month as part of a fundraiser for his campaign. Pigeon shoots are legal in almost all areas of the country, especially in Oklahoma, but the rule of law apparently wasn’t enough to appease one group of animal rights activists.
Facts typically don’t matter to activists with an agenda. A group called SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness), hired an individual to infiltrate Senator Inhofe’s pigeon shoot with intentions to demonize and spread misconceptions about the hunters involved in the shoot.
As usual, the animal rights group put their own spin on the story, and tried to label the hunters as “cruel and cowardly” for the actions that took place. The video they produced does not mention that pigeon shoots are legal, and refuses to acknowledge the fact that Oklahoma’s wildlife officials gave Senator Inhofe’s group their stamp of approval.
The members of SHARK, and other radical animal rights groups, have a false sense of reality when it comes to trying force their beliefs on the rest of society. The unfortunate truth is that animal rights activists will continue trying to thwart reality while breaking laws in the attempt to get their way.
Animal rights groups refuse to see different methods of hunting as longstanding traditional activities that play a major role in the long term management of species. They have no problem attacking sportsmen engaged in legal conservation practices, and continually operate under the assumption that the rule of law doesn’t apply to them.
But, what else is new when it come to animal rights activists.
