A GUN FOR CHRISTMAS

It is a present that simultaneously yields the happiness of an exciting new possession with the responsibility that a person must undertake when accepting such a gift. On Monday, OutdoorHub published an informative and helpful article on the factors one must consider before deciding to give a gun to another individual. The responsibility with these gifts are not just shouldered by those receiving them. The givers must take into account such things as maturity level of the recipient, the legality of the gun owner, if the person already has or will be receiving future gun safety training, and the safety of storing the gun in the individual's home (among other things). The author, Bill Miller, elaborates on each issue, including here where he discusses safety:
"The motto of the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Project ChildSafe is ultimate common sense—“Own it? Respect it. Secure it.” That means every gun gets locked up, every time!"
