Wild Spayed Filly Futurity

4222 South Steen’s Maggie Magpie

#4222 South Steen’s Maggie Magpie was purchased at the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity and is now in training with owner, Andrew Steiger

Andrew Steiger – Trainer Bio

Andrew Steiger grew up in Australia and has been riding since he was 2 years old. As a child, he competed in pony club, gymkhana, 3 day eventing and campdrafting. Growing up, Steiger spent all his spare time with horses and involved in rodeo.

Andrew moved to Canada in 2008,  to ride saddle broncs and lived in Wainwright, Alberta for 3 years. It was there where he rodeoed full-time before moving to the United States. He has travelled all over the US and Canada rodeoing.

In 2016, Andrew was sidelined with injuries and decided to go back to his roots of breaking horses. He found a love for reined cow horses through Russel Dilday and hasn’t looked back since. Steiger has competed in NRCHA events for the past 2 years, exposing him to  some of the best horsemen and horsewomen in the business.  This experience has helped him learn the sport and grow his horsemanship. Andrew is excited to be a part of the 2019 Wild Spayed Filly Futurity.

Look for Andrew and South Steen’s Maggie Magpie to compete in the 2019 Wild Spayed Filly Futurity in Reno, Nevada next year.
