The Denim and Diamonds Fundraiser, presented by Forrest and Charlotte Lucas for Protect The Harvest, was held at the Lucas Estate in Carmel, Indiana on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018. Over 300 people were in attendance and enjoyed an evening that included live and silent auctions, live music, dinner and dancing.
As guests mingled with representatives from Protect The Harvest, they were entertained with performing dogs, fly fishing, as well as multiple social lounges that served drinks and hors’doeuvres. Informational videos and signage were placed throughout the area to help educate guests on the issues faced by farmers, ranchers and animal owners.
A BBQ meal was served for dinner as the event carried on with Jim Haworth as the emcee of the evening. Multiple representatives from Protect The Harvest spoke to dinner guests about the capabilities the organization has available. This was followed by a local Indianapolis area band, SixWire, who performed for the remainder of the night.
