THE NATIONAL PORK PRODUCERS COUNCIL HAS WRITTEN A LETTER TO ELAINE CHAO, SECRETARY OF THE DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION, AND DAPHNE JEFFERSON, DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR OF THE FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIERS SAFETY ASSOCIATION, ASKING FOR A WAIVER AND LIMITED EXEMPTION FOR LIVESTOCK CARRIERS ON BEHALF OF THEMSELVES AND THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS:
THE AQHA HAS SUBMITTED A COMMENT TO THE FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY ASSOCIATION IN SUPPORT OF THE LIVESTOCK CARRIERS EXEMPTION, ORIGINALLY SUBMITTED BY THE NATIONAL PORK PRODUCERS COUNCIL.
In his letter, Attorney General Curtis Hill Jr., writes to Randi Hutchinson the Chief Counsel of the FMCSA urging them to consider a delay in the implementation of the new ELD requirements.
