In the last several weeks we’ve been inundated with reports regarding COVID-19, also known as Coronavirus. More recently we have had to adjust to a new normal that includes social distancing and “sheltering in place” to reduce the spread of the virus.
We’ve seen panic, frustration, and confusion, but above all we’ve seen communities coming together. We’ve seen people lending a hand to others, we’ve seen an appreciation for our food producers from the masses that seemed to be previously forgotten, and we’ve seen those producers work tirelessly to ensure that the public has the food it needs. We, at Protect The Harvest, want to thank all of the people who have kept our world turning during these uncertain times, specifically farmers, ranchers, medical professionals, city and state officials, grocers, truckers, and warehouse workers.
We owe our full bellies and comfortable home environments to you, and many more.
In light of these recent changes, we’ve seen students of all ages moving to online or home schooling, and because of this, we decided to create a dedicated location on our website to assist parents, teachers, guardians, and students. There, you’ll find educational resources that can accompany your school’s curriculum and expand on topics we believe are extremely important for children and young adults. These topics include farming, ranching, animal and crop identification, and more! We will be adding to this page over the next coming weeks so please check back regularly for additional content.
We know that this transition was unexpected and is making many scramble to adjust, but we hope we can offer assistance in this trying time.
