Michelle Pardo is a partner in the Washington, DC office of the national law firm Duane Morris LLP where she heads the Animal Law practice and co-chairs the Fashion, Retail and Consumer Branded Products industry group.
Michelle has dedicated her legal practice to representing businesses and institutions that feature or utilize animals or animal products and has obtained a national profile in the areas of animal law and defending against animal rights litigation. She has been involved in judicial, administrative (including the USDA, FWS and FTC) and legislative disputes with most of the major animal rights organizations for nearly 20 years.
Michelle also handles media relations and crisis communications for her clients. Her media work includes interviews with “The Today Show,” MSNBC, CNN, NPR and Fox News and print interviews with The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, The National Law Journal, and the Associated Press. She regularly contributes to Duane Morris’ Animal Law Developments blog and the podcast Zoo Logic.
